Felix Jagert

At Ruhr University Bochum, I completed my studies in Geography with a Bachelor's and Master's degree, focusing on Physical Geography and GIS. I then deepened my scientific interest through a Master's program in Geosciences with a focus on Applied Geology, also at Ruhr University Bochum. I gained initial professional experience in the GIS field before working for several years at the International Geothermal Center (Bochum University of Applied Sciences), specializing in the use of geothermal energy from mine water. Since 2020, I have been working at Fraunhofer IEG on innovative concepts in applied research, focusing on hydrogeological data evaluation, hydrogeochemical modeling, and practical borehole geophysics, particularly for assessing the subsurface for deep geothermal energy, "mineral carbonation," lithium extraction from thermal water, and mine water geothermal energy.
