Alternatives to fossil fuels are just as necessary for the long-term success of the energy transition and climate protection as the avoidance or offsetting of unavoidable emissions. Hydrogen and CO2 capture technologies have an important role to play here. In addition to developing technologies for production and capture, it is essential to start building infrastructure for the transport and storage of H2 and CO2 at an early stage. We support gas network operators in converting their networks to transport alternative gases, from strategy development for the transformation process to network suitability analyses and optimization of operational management. In addition, we support players along the hydrogen value chain in analyzing hydrogen procurement and utilization options and/or planning concepts and processes for CO2 capture, utilization, transport, and sequestration. With our extensive geotechnological expertise, we support storage operators in all matters, from initial potential assessment to the implementation of underground storage projects.
