Contract research

Bilateral contract research is the classic way of collaborating with a Fraunhofer institution. Here, we develop concrete solutions for your research and development needs and help you solve your problems. Framework agreements as the basis for a long-term partnership are also a possible form of collaboration.

Joint projects & consortia

Collaborative projects are characterized by the fact that, in addition to Fraunhofer IEG, several external partners and often other Fraunhofer Institutes are involved. This form of collaboration is particularly useful for complex and interdisciplinary tasks. Fraunhofer IEG's intensive networking within Fraunhofer Energy Alliance and  CINES Cluster of Excellence gives you access to numerous other areas of expertise within the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft.

Strategic partnerships

Strategic partnerships serve in particular to intensify research and development of forward-looking technologies. This can also take place within the framework of a consortium or network initiative led by Fraunhofer IEG.

Spin-offs

Spin-offs arise from the products, processes, and technologies developed by Fraunhofer IEG researchers, who use them as a basis for starting their own businesses. Various types of participation or cooperation are possible.
