Ammar Maghnam, M.Sc.

Ammar Maghnam studied Electrical Engineering (B.Sc.) at the University of Jordan (Amman, Jordan), and Renewable Energy Engineering and Management (M.Sc.) at the University of Freiburg. During his master’s, he worked as a graduate research assistant at the chair of control and integration of grids INATECH where he wrote his thesis “Analysis of Transmission Expansion in the European Grid System”. He has experience as a chief engineer in the Hilton Engineering Management Development program, where he was responsible for the energy and environmental management programs of the property.

He joined Fraunhofer IEG in 2020 as research associate in the integrated energy infrastructures group.
