Our Competence Centre for Natural Gas, Hydrogen & Material Infrastructures focuses on energy system considerations with a focus on hydrogen and its generation technologies and their allocation. We analyse and evaluate transformation paths for existing natural gas infrastructures in future hydrogen infrastructures and evaluate synergies and interdependencies with the other sectors, especially electricity and heat. We accompany studies with economic feasibility studies and analyses and evaluations of hydrogen supply chains as well as possible hydrogen use in industry for decarbonisation of non-energy related emissions and substitution of fossil fuels. We also evaluate the use of hydrogen in the transport sector, hydrogen production technologies and the regulation of hydrogen networks.
