Integrated District Planning / Open District Hub

Our Competence Centre for Integrated District Planning researches on the design and operation of energy systems for neighbourhoods and develops tools for intelligent investment decision-making, taking into account sector coupling and decarbonisation. Our tools and expertise aid decision-makers in the expansion, conversion or greenfield construction of district energy infrastructures. Renewable energy potential analyses are carried out as precursors for upcoming optimization steps, or as a standalone product to support planners and developers of housing and commercial districts. Further, we research the flexibilities within neighbourhoods to achieve higher efficiencies using innovative system operation.
