Geothermal Geology

Our Geothermal Geology Competence Centre offers services in the field of geoscientific potential assessment of deep geothermal reservoirs. We evaluate three-dimensional properties of geothermal reservoirs in the subsurface, analyse the regional to local geology, sedimentology and diagenesis of carbonate carriers and assess these for sites also by means of outcrop analogue studies and extrapolate the data into the subsurface. In addition, we work out the relationship between fault zones and rock properties and offer comprehensive petrophysical, geochemical and petrographic laboratory analyses. Based on experimental approaches, weperform hydrogeology and hydrogeochemistry analyses and model thermal patterns in the subsurface.
